New D-Star repeater VK3RDK

The Wimmera Amateur Radio Club will soon have its 2-metre D-Star repeater fully operational at Horsham in Western Victoria.

With the callsign VK3RDK it is licensed to use the frequency pair of 146.6375 / 146.0375 with a proposal for it to eventually be located at Mt William in the future.

The club decided to get the D-Star repeater running in Horsham to enable the equipment to settle in while in an easily accessible location.

The repeater has been funded through donations from club members was paid for in October. The project has been progressing steadily.
