Foundation licence - online August

The Foundation Licence syllabus is thorough covering the essential basics of electronics, radio communications, several safety aspects, and the regulations. Candidates undergo a practical test on the band plans, regulations, symbols, antennas, then a hands-on ability with a typical radio station, engaging in its set up, testing or power and SWR, on-air use preparation, calling CQ and making contacts.
Course numbers are limited due to the mode of delivery.
Starting date: Monday 3rd August at 7PM
Duration: 3 nights – followed by the theory and practical assessment on 22nd August
Instructor : Peter Cossins VK3BFG.
Participants will be required to have a PC with camera and microphone, a reliable internet connection and updated browser.
Pre-reading is ‘Your Entry into Amateur Radio’ by Ron Bertrand VK2DQ and Phil Wait VK2DKN (available on our webshop)
Delivery platform will Cisco Webex originating from Peter’s Hamshack/Workshop.
Is conducted on line under the guidelines from the Australian Maritime College.
